Classroom Information and Policies:

Students in our room should be self regulating and work to their own highest standards. Students will work independently, with partners, small groups and whole class in order to complete the needed assignments.
It is very important that students bring in any group work on time as the other students are depending on them!

Student work will be accepted for full credit up to two weeks late during the first quarter. Late work will receive full credit up to one week late during the second quarter. During the 3rd and 4th quarters students will lose 10% per week for late work.

NOTE: If a student is sick, absent or out with family additional time will always be given. If a student is sick I feel rest is important and schoolwork can be adjusted as needed.
If your child will be tardy or absent please call and let our office know!

*If you have any other concerns or questions please email as soon as possible so that we can work together to meet your child's needs.

Note of Caution:

Some of our students tend to jump ahead into reading and assignments prior to receiving rubrics or directions. In the end this leads to more frustration than anything else. It also takes away some of the joy of reading or working with partners. Please encourage your student to fully participate in classroom work and not to rush through work in order to get ahead! There are no additional points given for being the first one done.
Although, since life is often about balance, if you're student procrastinates and is more than a week or two late with assignments points may be deducted.
